Indoor Meetings are held on Saturdays at the Whisby Education Centre, Whisby Nature Park, Moor Lane, Thorpe on the Hill, Lincoln and start at 2pm.

Field Meetings generally start at 12 for 1pm, but please check the details for each event.

Guests are always welcome at our meetings.

Thorpe Culvert area Nr Wainfleet

12.00 for 13.00 start.
Hosted by Lindsey Marsh Drainage Board

Habitats: Pasture, Marsh, Pond, River

The site includes three SNCIs Thorpe Culvert Brick Pit, Fish Pond and the Old River Lymn.

A location map and background notes are available.  The entrance at TF469606 is along the road between Gresswells Bridge and Warths Bridge.  Park along the bank of the River Steeping over the cattle grid along the track to the pumping station, note cattle may be present.

Sailors Home area,Wrangle, NE of Boston

12.00 for 13.00 start. Take Sea Lane off of A52 south of Wrangle and follow towards coast. Park on minor road verge at approx TF444 492. Take care to avoid blocking field entrances.
 Habitats: Saltmarsh, rough grassland and ditches.

Fungus Foray - Hopland’s Wood and Willoughby Branch Line, South of Alford. Both LWT Reserves.

12.00 for 13.00 start. Hoplands Wood site first. This wood is found on the Willoughby-Claxby road, about 4 km (2.5 miles) south of Alford and 1 km (0.6 miles) west of the B1196 road. Park on verge at TF459 718.  Willoughby Branch Line located at TF474 736. Habitats: Mixed Woodland, grassland, scrub, disused railway.
